Where to Eat in Dublin
The food scene in Dublin has been expanding rapidly in recent years. I’ve loved trying out different restaurants when I end up in town, but these have remained my go-tos over the years. Great for someone visiting Dublin, or if you’re living here and are looking for somewhere new to try!
These restaurants have lots of yummy options, but I’ve definitely found my go-to faves at each.
Dollard & Co
This place has the cutest interior, and includes a restaurant section, a bakery, a small selection of groceries, a selection of wines and beers, and counters for meet, cheese, and pizza.
I’d recommend: A slice of the double pepperoni.
The Hungry Mexican
Definitely the best Mexican food I’ve had in Ireland! Every single thing I’ve gotten on the menu has been amazing. Plus, almost every single thing on the menu has a vegetarian or vegan option! If the food wasn’t enough, the staff have been incredibly welcoming and helpful every time I’ve visited.
I’d recommend: The jackfruit toastadas or the grande nachos. Plus, their margaritas are to die for.
Musashi
There’s a few locations around the city, but this is the one to visit. During dinner time you might need a reservation as it fills up quickly.
I’d recommend: The chef’s selection futomaki roll. Crispy, saucy, yummy.
Pitt Bros
The best of American-style food without the long flight. Plus, you get a free pull-your-own ice cream cone!
I’d recommend: The mac attach nachos - you get to try a little of everything in one ooey gooey dish. Add the pulled pork!
Wow Burger
Perfectly cooked burgers with your choice of unlimited toppings! This location is the best I’ve tried.
I’d recommend: Snag some garlic butter fries on the side of your burger.
Salsa
Better than any burrito bar around the city, this food is much closer to authentic Mexican.
I’d recommend: The nachos, with toppings of your choice.
The Ramen Bar
Cosy, filling, and scrumptious, they have more than just ramen, plus vegetarian and vegan options!
I’d recommend: The Yaki Niku pork. It melts in your mouth and everything is cooked to perfection!
Woolshed
A sports bar offering cheap pitchers of beer and a room filled with TVs designated to the current matches.
I’d recommend: The wings. Crispy and coated in the perfect sauce!
Arthur’s Pub
An old pub with character, you might also happen across an open fire and live jazz music.
I’d recommend: The traditional Irish stew. It’s the best stew I’ve had anywhere in Ireland!
Beshoff Bros
There’s a city centre location as well, but Howth is worth the Dart trip for the authentic seaside experience. Beware of hungry seagulls nearby!
I’d recommend: The classic fish and chips or a crispy battered sausage.
Chew Brew
Thirsty after your meal? Head to Chew Brew for a bubble tea and a cute pic for the ‘gram.
I’d recommend: The peach iced tea with strawberry popping boba.
The Rolling Donut Kiosk
8 O’Connell St. Lower
This kiosk doesn’t have the full Rolling Donut menu. Instead, it sells mini donut rings coated in a topping of your choice. These donuts are baked fresh and are light, fluffy, and somehow still slightly doughey. Even better if you happen to go on a cold day!
I’d recommend: The cinnamon sugar.
Sweet Churro
Fresh, hot, crispy, delicious churros.
I’d recommend: The sweet angels with a topping of your choice (I go for the Nutella!)
Murphys
One of only a few locations around the country, this ice cream is fresh, unique, and tasty!
I’d recommend: A scoop of the brown bread. Sounds weird in ice cream form, but you’ve gotta trust me!
