Jessie Visits Ireland

One of the loveliest people I've ever met is my friend Jessie. I had the pleasure of living next door to her through college and studying with her in quite a few of my classes! She is vibrant, compassionate, and crazy clever. I was over the moon when she told me she'd be visiting me last year (yes, this post is 7 months old!). It was a quick trip, but I had so much fun showing her around some of my favourite spots and meeting her sweet friend Ariona.

I usually don't post this late after something happens, but I was going through my computer looking for something else and came across these photos; I hadn't realised how many we'd taken! I was so in the moment that I didn't have my camera out as much as usual. But looking back at these photos really makes me smile, so enjoy!

The first place I wanted to take them was Bray. The full Bray to Greystones walk is delightful. It's great exercise and has some stunning photo opps. But we were on a time crunch! So we drove over and hiked straight to the top.

On our way back down, we stumbled across Chester the mouse. He was literally the size of my fingernail?! We made sure he got safely off the path before we continued downhill.

It was a truly Irish experience as the weather was sunny one minute and rainy the next, but we couldn't leave the seaside without a little treat.

Next on the list is the place that I would probably recommend as the #1 place for any tourist visiting Dublin to see - Glendalough! It's so full of history, and I think it perfectly embodies what you think of when someone says "Ireland".

Jessie got her year of good luck at the cross!

Just down the road is the beautiful Lough Tay, or Guinness Lake. It was crazy windy, but we ran out for a few quick snaps!

And, of course, we had to make a quick stop at the P.S. I Love You Bridge while we were so close.

Back in Dublin, we strolled through St. Stephen's Green.

And enjoyed another burst of sunshine at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

We did so much more, crammed into just a couple of days, but it was so fun to have someone familiar over here spending time with me! Jessie is one of the first people to meet Killian during our trip to Seattle. Getting to show her our corner of the world was a blast! 7 months later and I'm in desperate need of some more Jessie time 👯‍♀️💕
