At the beginning of each new year, rather than setting "resolutions" for myself, I like to surround myself with inspiration. Words of wisdom, if you will. I try and focus on those concepts over the next year and incorporate them into my life as much as possible! See my 2016 resolutions here. Here's to a new year!
Listen to the ramblings of an American 20-something living abroad in Ireland for the first time, trying to figure out life and how to make the perfect cup of tea.
Last week was my birthday. And last year, I wrote a post called 20 Things I Learned During 20. You guys seemed to like it, ya crazies, so this year in honour of 22, I present you with 11 things I learned in Ireland and 11 things I learned in life over this past year living abroad.
Sometimes the best things in life are made at home. Whether they're better for the environment (or you), or just more functional, store-bought doesn't always win the battle over DIY! Here are a few of my must-haves.
If you've been following my blog for a while now you'll know that the past few years I've decided not to set goals for myself such as "lose weight" or "get a better job" or "keep in touch with friends". But instead I've decided to try to be a better person through words of inspiration that I find throughout the year. Instead of seeing them and thinking "oh that's great, that's a really good idea!" I try to live my life with them in mind for the coming year.
On Saturday, I turned 21. So so much has happened in the past year of my life. I traveled outside of the U.S. for the first time; I met my family in Greece; I shared some amazing experiences with my boyfriend Killian and my new roommate Mikayla; I graduated college; and then I left it all behind and moved to Ireland!
And where would I be if I hadn't gained some life lessons along the way? So here are 20 things I learned while I was 20 years old.
After a long, 3 month wait, Killian came to visit me in Washington!
